The Broadfield Stadium was built in 1997 and opened on 1 August 1997. The stadium was built to replace the club's previous ground, the Town Mead Stadium. The first match played at the Broadfield Stadium was a pre-season friendly against Brighton & Hove Albion, which Crawley Town won 2-1.

The Broadfield Stadium has hosted a number of memorable matches over the years, including:

  • The 2006 FA Trophy Final, which Crawley Town won 1-0 against Grays Athletic
  • The 2011 Football League Two play-off Final, which Crawley Town won 1-0 against Torquay United
